I literally made a reel about THIS. 👏
I will post my reel I made many weeks ago in the comments to check it out!
For years, I genuinely thought I just had no willpower.
Then I changed the way I ate and suddenly I was not spending my entire day thinking about food, fighting hunger and wondering why I couldn't just “control myself.”
And then I open Facebook and see Dr. Eric Berg post this. 😂
“Maybe willpower was never the problem.”
THAT. 👏 WAS. 👏 MY. 👏 POINT.
I didn't need more willpower.
I needed food that actually kept me satisfied. 🩷
And THAT is why I'm so passionate about Keep It Keto.
Have a lovely day everyone 😊
Let me ask you something.
It's nine o'clock at night, and you already had dinner two hours ago so you're not hungry. Yet there you are, standing in front of an open cabinet, reaching for something to snack on.
You're eating before you even decided to eat.
So what happened there?
Most people, including doctors, will tell you that you have a willpower problem or that you just need to try harder, but that’s not true.
Here's what they don't tell you. By the time you're standing in front of that cabinet at nine o'clock, the choice was already made for you.
Let me explain. The decision to eat was made in the grocery store when you bought that irresistible snack, and made again when you kept it visible on your counter or at eye level in your fridge.
It was also made by a food industry that spends a great deal of money to engineer the perfect combination of sugar, fat, salt, and texture that overrides your body’s natural signal telling you to stop. There is even a name for it: the bliss point.
Now you can see that your willpower is not up against a single craving. It's up against the entire research-and-development budget of a $1.2 trillion dollar industry.
You don’t have a willpower problem, just like I didn’t have a willpower problem. You have an architecture problem that I want to help you fix.
Today, I'm releasing my book that finally addresses that architecture: Change Your Environments: Redesign Your Life to Reclaim Your Health.
In the book, I explain why your body isn't malfunctioning. It's responding to a series of environments that it was never designed for in the first place.
Dim days and bright nights that disrupt your internal clock.
Eight hours spent sitting in a chair.
A phone charging two feet from your head during the only window your brain gets to fully rest.
And these are just the beginning. If you give your body the wrong information, it won't be able to give you the right results, no matter how hard you try.
I begin the book with a ten-minute audit that scores nine environments and tells you which one you need to focus on, and which chapter to read first. I wrote this with you in mind, so you can finally move the needle on your very best health efforts.
