Time to introduce ourselves to our new followers
I’m Olivia, my Chinese name is Ying and my bestie, Yin Ying. We’ve been best friends since our university days in Melbourne. Yin Ying worked long hours as a pastry chef and always dreamed of starting her own business.
We started Yings back in 2020. Sadly, we only had one year working side by side before she passed. Before she left, she told me to keep Yings going and not let our dream go to waste.
Today marks Yin Ying’s 3rd death anniversary. Though she is no longer with us, her passion, dedication and dreams live on through Yings.
We’ve come a long way since then. From receiving tough feedback on our kuihs, we kept learning, improving, and refining our recipes. With no prior experience making kuihs, everything came from trial and error. Today, we’re grateful for the positive feedback and truly believe our kuihs have grown better with time.

If you're heading to the dessert shop and dessert restaurant located in Melbourne, there are several ways to get there. If you plan on taking public transport, take any train that stops at Flinders Street Station and walk for around 10 minutes towards the west along Flinders Street. Alternatively, you can take tram routes 1, 3/3a, or 16 and alight at Stop 13 (Batman Park) before walking eastwards for around five minutes.
If you prefer driving, it is advisable to park your vehicle in one of the parking lots nearby, such as Wilson Parking on Siddeley Street or Secure Parking on Batman's Hill Drive. From there, head southeast in the direction of Wurundjeri Way before turning left onto Seafarers Lane. Continue for about two minutes until you arrive at your destination.
Please note that these directions are not specific to The 2 Yings and may apply to other shops/restaurants in the area as well.

The 2 Yings in Melbourne is a dessert shop and restaurant that serves up homemade Malaysian desserts. Their assorted kuih boxes are a must-try, and pre-orders are now open for pick-up on Saturday, June 10th. They also offer customised full moon kuih boxes, kuih gift packs, and assorted kuih platters to celebrate special occasions like baby's full moon or Raffael's Full Moon. The new addition to their menu is the Sago lapis - a delicious combination of steamed coconut layered kuih and sago infused with butterfly pea flower. The 2 Yings also offers pre-orders for their CNY cookies to avoid last-minute stress during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
