It’s been great, like a roller coaster at times, but time to move on. Smokey Jake’s BBQ is sold and something new will be at the premises (great food, great new owners, something different). The brand is with me, so let’s see what happens. For now, I’m taking a hiatus. Thanks for the patronage. Jake

We were able to get a good deal on some wagyu rump, so we’re passing the deal on to customers for the month of November. We also have some in-house dry age, at no extra cost.

What people say
Smokey Jake's Neighbourhood BBQ is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic American BBQ, Tex-mex and southern cuisine. Located on North Road in Melbourne, this new American restaurant offers indoor dining as well as a beer garden for those who prefer to dine al fresco.
One of the standout dishes at Smokey Jake's is the Hillbilly Philly sandwich, which features sliced brisket, caramelised onions, Swiss cheese, buttermilk bbq sauce and cos lettuce on a toasted brioche bun. Although it's no longer officially on the menu, customers can still enjoy this delicious creation or any other meaty sandwich or burger with the 'meat on a bun' option. With many smoked or cured meats to choose from, diners can create their ultimate sandwich or burger with ease.
Smokey Jake's also offers a 'double meat on a bun' option for those who want to double up on their meaty goodness. And if you're in need of some BBQ equipment, Smokey Jake's has got you covered - they offer BBQ Spit Rotisseries and other options at great prices.
Recently, Smokey Jake's had the opportunity to cater for a fundraiser at Matty’s Heritage Roy Grounds House and even launched new Smokey Jake’s t-shirts at the event. With its low and slow cooking techniques and mouth-watering dishes, it's no wonder that Smokey Jake's Neighbourhood BBQ is quickly becoming one of Melbourne's favourite new American restaurants.
