Tonight we celebrated the closing of Melbourne Design week exhibition “Table Manners” that was being held at Florian Home, curated by , exhibition design by ._ and supported by .magazine. Thank you to everyone who came along and a big thank you for the beautiful seasonal produce used for tonight’s catering.

This weekend at Florian we are celebrating loved ones! We will have bunches of beautiful fresh flowers from Friday until Sunday in To Go. Sponge cakes on Saturday from 9am & bottles of bubbles ready to pop in the restaurant. There are also lots of new arrivals at Florian Home to enjoy together! ❤️

Our dessert special at Florian this week is a mandarin Torta Caprese with Cape Gooseberry’s and crème fraiche. We also have a new sandwich available from Florian To-Go or Florian. Austro Bakery focaccia, mortadella, stracciatella, sundried tomato pesto, pickled chilli and rocket.

Last night Florian turned into Bar Flamingo Estate in collaboration with , serving tomato martinis and tomato-centric snacks. The room was filled with their signature heirloom tomato scent and jelly sculptures.

It’s been a while since we’ve changed up our cured fish plate but we felt it was time. Now served with dill cured Ora King Salmon, pickled cucumber and fennel, cream cheese with chives and a soft egg. Available all day on our menu.

Chef duo Cam and Thishi will be taking over the kitchen and bringing a menu that showcases their heritage and what inspires them as cooks.
Expect big bold South Asian flavours but with interesting twists inspired from all of our favourite cuisines across the world.
An a la carte menu will be available on the night with bookings now open. Walk-ins always welcome when available.

Next Friday night the 6th of Feb we will be open for dinner from 5pm, with our friends Seunghee and Jae from Simple Pleasures in Seoul taking over the kitchen.
After working in Melbournes hospitality scene for a few years, the couple returned to Seoul and opened Simple Pleasures. Now, we are lucky to get a taste of what they are offering right on Rathdowne St.
They will recreate some of their most memorable dishes like crab fried rice with flying fish roe; a squid sashimi with uni sauce and braised lotus root, and marinated pork neck skewers w korean leaves.
A limited number of Florian × Simple Pleasures T-shirts, in collaboration with melbourne based graphic designer .z will also be available for purchase.
