Tomorrow, Sat 17th of June, will be the last day of trade for Big Buns Burgers & Donut Co Mornington.
We are constantly selling out of Donuts and we are extremely grateful.
We have lost one of Chefs at our original store. Momentum Cafe Karingal. Penny will need to move back there to guide and lead our team.
We are unable to employ a baker and have been open for almost 12 months and again can't seem to employ a baker to help with making our donuts in store daily.
Penny, my wife, has been working 7 days a week with early starts and late finishes. She did this just days after giving birth to our second child. It was extremely difficult to watch anyone do this, but losing our long-term baker just before we opened meant we had no other choice. We thought it would be tough, but we thought we would infact find a FT baker a lot sooner. This wasn't the case.
She simply can't keep doing it without support. We will move donut manufacturing to Karingal at Momentum Cafe. They will be pre-order the day before for next day pick up temporarily.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us and worked with us it's been a very challenging time for the industry but we also learnt a few things along the way. To all our delivery drivers, supplier's etc etc we thank you.

Driving/Parking: If you are driving, the best way to get to Dunns Road is via Nepean Highway. There is street parking available along Dunns Road and in the surrounding streets. However, it can be quite busy during peak hours so be sure to allow yourself extra time to find a spot.
