It's Time For A Different Sort Of Protest...
Make 1st October Day
Overseas based food delivery companies rip millions of dollars out of the local hospitality industry, offering nothing more in return than appalling service & no accountability.
Lets see if we can get every person in Melbourne to STOP USING OVERSEAS OWNED & OPERATED FOOD DELIVERY PLATFORMS for 24 hours, as a protest to the appalling service, lack of accountability, lack of standards, lack of care, lack of communication, and lack of honesty in their advertising.
Make Thursday 1st October That Day.
It's time for every Melbournian to send a message to ALL food delivery aggregators that 'Enough Is Enough'.
One of the primary ways that restaurants have connected with people during this pandemic has been via food aggregators. Instead of this being a great service and a good experience for everyone involved, restaurants are left to deal with frustrated, disappointed and angry customers, who have received cold food, late food, tampered food, missing food, crushed food, and sometimes no food at all, and a hefty cost for the privilege.
I have had enough...
All restaurant owners have had enough...
Customers have had enough...
It's time to let ALL food delivery aggregators know that they can't just keep ripping money from both customers and food businesses, with ZERO accountability.
I have spoken to over 50 restaurants in the past week, who have ALL had enough. Collectively we have dealt with 1000's of our customers who have also had enough.
Share this around. Forward this to your favorite restaurant, takeaway, and cafe. Share the hashtag
On the 1st October, Order Direct Instead.
I have no doubt that one of the food delivery platforms will try and get this post taken down, but hopefully they also finally take some notice, that our customers deserve better.
