To our beloved Le Feu Mornington community,

With a heavy heart, we announce that Le Feu Mornington will officially close its doors on 24 May 2026.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our team.

Over time, ongoing economic pressures, global uncertainties, rising operating costs, and continuing staffing challenges within hospitality have made it increasingly difficult for us to keep up with operations and continue the restaurant the way we truly wanted to.

From our very first days in Aspendale to our journey in Mornington, we are deeply grateful for the love and support we have received from our customers, the Mornington community, and the wonderful gluten-free community who embraced us throughout the years.

Thank you for every visit, every shared meal, every recommendation, every kind message, and every memory created with us. Your support has meant the world to our small business ❤️

Sometimes slowwwwww is good. Like our Caramelised Pork Rice Bowl, which takes us 2.5 days to make! Yup 2.5 days!

First we take our locally sourced pork belly from Gippsland, then we marinate it overnight in a Hoi An secret spice sauce. The meat is then left to dry for another night. The skin is then seared before roasting to perfection.

If you’ve ever tried our Caramelised Pork, you know why the skin is addictively crackling on the outside. When you bite through the layers of meat & fat, you’ll quiver with delight over the tenderness & juiciness of the meat. It is maxed out with flavour! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

But that’s not all! We drizzle some sweet soy sauce over the roast pork & perfect it with a side of green apple slaw & steam rice.

Sweet, sour, salty, spice, umami - every taste bud will thank you 😋😋😋
