Yo, another 36 degree day to add to the list. Seeing as that it'll still be around 35 degrees until 8ish and our little aircon at the front doesn't chug fast though, we're going to close again today at 1pm and won't be open for our wine bar side tonight unfortunately.

Hello friends!! We're super excited to launch our first Producer's Night next Monday March 4th, with this upcoming dinner focusing on two strong loves of ours - sake and skewers! Josh from Heigo will be pouring sake from his selected list, matched with skewers from the infamous Charles from Gaea!
Both powerhouses in their own right, it'll be delicious chaos to see the sakes chosen by Josh paired with the yakitori know-how of Charles. Unfortunately this event will have a fair few meat skewers, so dietaries aren't as accommodating. Come join for some good yums!

Friends! We're bloody stoked to do this upcoming event with good/great/best friend Doug from and ! ❤️🔥
Sunday 25th from 3pm - 5pm we'll be doing a free public tasting of Doug's new releases from both his wine labels! 5pm onwards we'll be rolling into a casual snack/drink operation - think Sunday boozy long lunch but just a little later. The food will be paired with Doug's wines for the night, and more casual snack driven bites.
No bookings or reservations needed! Just roll up, and contribute to the controlled chaos we all know and love 💕

FRIENDS!! 🐲
We're super excited to tell you guys about this event because it's very near and dear to our hearts, but Feb1 4th we're doing a big Lunar New Year dinner to celebrate and enjoy.
Lunar New Year is always an event to share and celebrate - we've got fond memories of travelling so far and so much just to end up with family and friends to share a meal - very quintessentially wholesome of an Asian culture.
It'll be a $55pp set menu for the Wednesday night, and can cater for most dietaries with advance notice. Expect things and foods with meaning, e.g. dumplings for wealth and noodles for long life
It's been fun and very surreal to both share and celebrate the Chinese culture with y'all, so we honestly can't wait to see you all for this event. Please book through OpenTable direct or through our link on our Instagram.

Friends! It's that time of year - Sleepys is going to sleep! We'll be closed this Saturday night onwards for a Christmas break!
We'll be reopening back on the 15th of Jan, and for the rest of Jan we'll be doing a limited offering of just toasties and coffee everyday until midday (back to our regular programming of days and nights and popups and events in Feb)
Stay bloody tuned - we'll be using the extra downtime to get ready for all the crazy things we've got planned come February onwards.
Recap: we'll be closed from the night of the 23rd - Jan 15th for a Christmas break.

Instagram friends, here is a picture of good (best) friend .koether BECAUSE it's for an announcement!
Caitlin is a fermentation expert. Everything and anything fermentation - her domain. We were fortunate enough to get a surplus of beautiful produce (mainly bok choy) from .au and the best way to use a surplus of anything is fermentation!
This coming Monday 18th from 11am - 1pm she'll be running a kimchi making class next door in the space .spaces. It'll be a free session where you'll pitch in, learn with her to make some kimchi, and bring a jar in because bloody take some home with ya!
The only catch - we're just limiting this session to 12 spots - the first 12 people to DM us. DM us if you're keen and free to learn and make kimchi! And keep your eyes peeled, we might be running more of these events next year if it's a vibe! Let us know!

Friends, it's here! Monday 18th we're going to be doing a big, casual, event to celebrate our 2 years of being on this beautiful strip! What's going on? Here's a quick lowdown:
FOOD: I'll be joined in the kitchen by good friend . For those that came to his Mongolian popup, you know how crazy his food is. We'll be doing sticks and snacks - 2 seafood, 2 veg, 2 meat sticks with some accompanied snacks. Super yum, super flavour, super casual! Food will be influenced and based from the dope friends around us on the street, including but not limited to , , .gnocchi, ,
DRINKS: Cocktails will be flowing, wines will be strictly from Magnums and bigger (thank you , ), and big format sake will also be pouring (thank you .aus).
Come join us in thanking this strip in being a dope place to call home. Grateful to the 2 years we've had here, and so, so keen to many more.
