Every now and then, a client changes their mind about a design. Usually, the change of mind occurs prior to the cake being finished, except in this instance.
The client requested the last design in the images. Once it was completed, I sent the image across. The client hated it and requested a change of design.
So at 5pm, when the client changed their mind, I changed the design to what was asked, sent the image (middle image), and.....was told no again.
Attempt number three (the first images) at 11pm I sent the client the last request and they loved it. Success, kind of like the pies so far!
The moral of the story, please, where possible, don't change your mind!
Lastly, a huge shout out to one of my most amazing and talented fellow cakers for coming to the rescue on a Friday night with extra food colouring and a steady hand, I wouldn't have been able to pull off the final look without you! Thank you for saving my butt!!!
