Your local watering hole for more than a century 🤎

Our building has been a pub since 1857, first called The Peacock and then taking its current name a few years later owing to its proximity to the local North Melbourne Courthouse, just across the road. Fast forward to the 1930's, the building was given a ‘modern face lift’ and reskinned to suit the Art Deco period, which is how it's stayed (apart from a lick of fresh paint)!

We feel honoured to tread these old boards and call it our home.

Farewell to Jade ❤️

You've got one more week to experience the warm hospitality, infectious energy, and wicked laugh that have become the hallmarks of Jade's service at The Courthouse.

Since we reopened our doors in May 2023, Jade has been an integral part of our team, becoming a much-loved member of both the Courthouse family and the North Melbourne community.

While we're sad to see her leave, we're excited for what's next. She's not going far. You'll find Jade just up the road at our sister venue, Naughtons Hotel, where she'll be pouring cold beers with warm smiles as the new Venue Manager (congrats!).

Be sure to drop in over the next week to wish her well, we know she'll love seeing you one last time at the Courty 🍻

Public Transport:
1. Tram: Take tram number 57 from the city center (Elizabeth Street) towards West Maribyrnong. Get off at the Errol Street/Queensberry Street stop, which is located on Errol Street itself.

2. Train: If you prefer taking a train, you can catch a train to North Melbourne Station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Errol Street. Head north on Macaulay Road, then turn right onto Queensberry Street until you reach Errol Street.

Driving/Parking:
1. From the city center: Head northwest on Elizabeth Street, continue onto Flemington Road, and then turn left onto Peel Street. Continue straight onto Queensberry Street until you reach Errol Street. There are limited street parking spaces available along Errol Street.

2. From CityLink (Toll Road): Take the Dynon Road exit and head east on Dynon Road. Turn left onto Dryburgh Street and continue straight until you reach Errol Street. Limited street parking may be available.
