Who's been missing a nice hot roast, with all the classic vegetables and that delectable gravy?!?! My friend has just opened One Stop All Roasts in Hampton East (just across from Kingston Town Hall, 876 Nepean Highway), open 7 days a week until 8.30pm, come say hi! A few familiar faces from our old crew, and although I'm not the boss I'm still as helpful as ever!

Huge thanks to some incredible community members, amazing tradies and all round awesome people. Prokop Electrical Services PlumBest Plumbing our Fridgie Dillon at Frozone, our waste management company, our signage guys Sequoia Media etc; all making sure everything is ship shape and Bristol fashion this week, ready for the big handover on Monday. You're all amazing as usual and we will remain loyal customers as EB residents. Heartfelt thanks for all you've done for us and the community over so many years. [Bec here: If I've been abrupt in shooing you out the door this past week with your random freezer treasure as a bonus it's only because I've been choking back tears at saying goodbye to some truly amazing people, who have been there for me through thick and thin]. We're only as good as our tools to do our job, which needed gas, electricity, waste management, water, refrigeration, so when we've needed you we've NEEDED you. And you were always there for us 🙏

Far out there's a bit of work in shutting down though...and we're low key a bit jealous of the new tenants: receiving premises in such pristine condition, 100 times better than how we received it 😅😆

We miss you all. Many of our conversations revolve around the "shop"; friends and family are helping us debrief and try to return to a base level of normalcy by letting us all talk it all out. It's been a gigantic part of our lives for so many years, it's going to take a while.

We're so excited to hand back the premises on Monday...it will be a full stop to the adventure and cause for celebration! 🍾 🍾🍾🍾

[Bec here again: I was so spoilt for my birthday last week and received a 2 seater kayak as a bucket list gift, so I've snuck in as much time out as I can recently, and I'm looking forward to a footloose, fancy free month after handover, with maximum time on the water in my happy place, before my next adventure starts] ✨️❤️🛶🛶🛶🛶🌊⛱️🌞☀️

Thank you, lovely people. Apologies that we haven't replied to all the comments texts messages voicemails etc...we are overwhelmed with over 400 beautiful people to reply to. But we love you all and will get to them all individually, eventually xx

Over and out for now ❤️

Thank you all SO MUCH for the ridiculous amount of love, gifts, phone calls, texts, private messages, online support...it is humbling.

So many emotions!!! So very happy to have had such an adventure! So sad at the adventure ending. Be happy for us! This is a good thing.

You'll see a flurry of activity in the shop over the next month, while we pack down, deep clean, donate frozen bits and pieces, and prepare to hand back the keys mid March.

We'll be hosting some staff training there also to give our team the most up to date skills in CVs, job application and interview skills, to help them in their next adventure. Thanks to Dallas at Empower HR Solutions for the training. And for being my invisible leading lady over the past few years, from cradle to grave.

So don't get too excited if you see the lights on, but please feel free to stick your head in the door for a quick chat and a hug. Miss you all so much.

I'm so excited to see what's next for little 935 Centre Rd!!! It's been my main home for the best part of 4 years. There'll be a lump in my throat for sure when I see new signage go up, I think it will definitely be a bitter-sweet day. But I am still a local, and will for sure be supporting a new business in the hood. lollollol

I'm spending the next few months catching up with my kids, making some delicious elaborate dinners, getting my eldest enough driving experience to drive a freaking AMBULANCE by November 😱, getting plenty of sleep, lots of kayaking, lunches with friends, visits with family, refilling my bucket.

Then I'm spending winter working a few different 4 week contracts on cattle and sheep stations in FNQ, Darwin and remote WA, filling in while the permanent cooks are on annual leave. Do you think 4 weeks is enough time to get stockhands and shearers addicted to my chicken soup?!?! I'll let you all know 😉

Love to you all. Hope you are all coping without chips and roasts. I made a roast dinner at home the other night, and poor Ash and I had NO IDEA how to make less gravy. For 6 as opposed to 60. 🙄😬
Tonight there's enough gluten free lasagne for 40 people. 😮‍💨

Important Notice:
We have made the decision to not reopen the shop.
The time we've had in recent weeks has given us much needed perspective, and we are satisfied with what we've achieved, and ready to bring this chapter to a close.
We thank you all for your support over the years.
Heartfelt thanks, Bec, Joe and the team.

Business Post Wednesday
ABN 41 256 674 802

We are finally able to confirm we will be open again on Wednesday 29th January at 11am.

We know there have been a few potential dates, and thank you for understanding we have been in a state of flux and flow right now, but the 29th it is!

Many of you know a very dear to us person passed away quite suddenly. Adopted family member, friend, granny, mother, sister, daughter. She filled all those roles.

There is such a hole left in our lives that is impossible to fill. We've chosen to take the time we need to mourn, make arrangements, celebrate her life and be kind to ourselves in doing so, and return a bit later than expected, and at full strength.

We appreciate you all so much for your love, messages, calls, patience, understanding.

See you all soon xx

We will update you all with a confirmed date we reopen in due course. Thank you for your patience and all the love we have received ❤️
Wishing all a long life

People *please* remember basic courtesy when visiting our store! Verbal abuse, scolding, throwing things at our staff; these past 2 days we've dealt with more of this negative behaviour than we have over the whole year!

We know you're hot and cranky. We get it. But don't take it out on your servers! It reached 39 degrees in our kitchen today, even hotter than outdoors.

We hire a wide variety of staff: young, older, differing abilities, we pride ourselves on a decent work environment, our seniors buddy up with our juniors to train them, it makes us happy as owners when we hear them reassuring our 15 and 16 year olds that "all our customers are lovely and pretty patient, double check if you're not sure of anything". But then over this weekend to be subjected to rubbish behaviour over and over again, this stuff stays with you!

We all remember our first job; it leaves a lasting impact as it's your first foray into an adult world with grown up responsibilities, working elbow to elbow with people from all walks of life. Ogre bosses, unpleasant customers, unnecessary rudeness: it all shapes this beautiful person.

So do the compliments and pats on the back; "Noah has such a beautiful smile that it makes me happy all day", "Debbie is such a gem and gives fabulous customer service ", "a lovely girl answered the phone and was so helpful".

Can we spread kindness instead of ugliness?! 'Tis the season to be jolly and all that.

Let's keep it in perspective. As we constantly say: "we are just feeding people, not saving lives"
It's not worth any one of our team going home and crying over. If we make a mistake we'll try and fix it for you. We're all human.

Peace and love, except for anyone who THREW something at any of our staff this weekend. Those customers are fired.

Look at you all being organised for Christmas! Thank you for all the orders 😄

I think we are ready to close Tuesday 24th orders (Christmas Eve), if you're all done?

Still some Wednesday 25th (Christmas day) slots left: we've opened up 9.30 and 10am slots for collection, verrrrrrrrry limited 11am to 1pm slots, and opened up 1.30, 2, 2.30 and 3pm slots.

Also some room for 21st and 22nd December.

We have no more whole turkey available, and only a limited amount of turkey buffet to cook and carve for you.

Some lamb and chicken, more beef and pork!

Chanukah starts late evening of the 25th, when we are off for a few days of rest and relaxation. However; we are taking orders for platters of latkes for the week starting Wednesday 18th December! Perfect for end of year celebrations, school class morning tea contributions, mixed faith holiday celebrations, or just because they're delicious 😋

Traditional, Sweet (with applesauce and cinnamon sugar), rainbow (multiple vegetable) or 'fancy' (your choice of smoked salmon or roast beef topping, herbed creme fraiche, whipped lemon herb cream cheese, or horseradish "skordalia", minimum order 12). Latkes made with or without onion, please specify when you order!

Busy few weeks ahead. Thank you as ever for the support 🙏
