Whether you are looking for something to nibble on while having a drink at the bar or something to start your dinner off these jackfruit pasties are to die for. Despite being vegan the have a slightly meaty texture and are set off perfectly with our vegan house mayonnaise.

I didn't eat pork much growing up but if it had been cooked like this I was certainly missing out. Brined and grilled with red kraut and a mustard demi-glace and apple chips its a tender flavour bomb.

We've resisted having fries on the menu for a while. We've kind of succumbed to the pressure and now have these delicious sweet potato fries. A little crispy and delightfully pillowy on the inside.

The best part of new menus is trying the new flavour combinations the chefs come up with. This one is a combination of things I love. Scallops with garlic & nduja butter with fried shallots, the little bit of heat is what really sets it off.

New wine special this week as well. I go back a long time with winemaker Jez Shiell, in the days long before he was referred to as one of Australia's most respected sommeliers during and after his stint curating the wine list at the much respected Royal Mail Hotel Dunkeld. This mostly Syrah blend is a great warmer weather red and we've knocked a little off the price for the next week or two as well. This drop is not one to be missed.
