🐦💙💙💙
To the three lovely people who rescued an injured bird outside our door while we were closed yesterday afternoon, THANK YOU!!! Your kindness, bravery and resourcefulness have made the world a better place.
We checked our security footage and saw that the birdie had been waiting for almost three hours before you came along. How lucky it was to have met you! We're so grateful that you took the time to stop, care, and help our feathered friend.
You are amazing and we wish every good thing your way.
If you see this, could you please drop us a line to let us know how the birdie is doing? We can't wait to see it back in action soon - cawing on our sign, leaving little "souvenirs" outside our door, and all that good stuff! 💩🙈

Hey there. We feel like we should make an occasion of our first post for 2022 (even though it is almost 3 weeks into January 🤡).
Glad you are still with us after the longest lockdown in the history of mankind, an eternity of WFH (kudos to all parents and carers out there!), countless masks, COVID tests, vaccine, empty supermarket shelves, as well as a fricking earthquake here in Melbourne! 2021 has surely left its marks.
Is the new year going to be better? Probably not. But we will get through it like we have done so many times before. W̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶i̶l̶i̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶b̶u̶g̶g̶e̶r̶s̶.̶
And remember, there is nothing that h̶u̶g̶s̶ elbow bumps, (air)kisses (through masks), and a late night sushi binge cannot solve! 🍣🍙🍤🥑
Let's save the world together, one sushi at a time.

We are back! ❤️ Miss us?
Gorilla Sushi took a short break last week due to our staff having been to a Tier 2 exposure site. So we did the responsible thing and made sure our entire team and their close contacts were tested negative. We might still be slightly unhinged, but we are certified virus-free! 😆
To mark the occasion, one of our good friends (and loyal customer!) came by with SUPER YUMMY taro treats from her home country. Just in time for Mooncake Festival too! Thank you Serena! 😘😘😘
Anddddd we are once again hard at work for all your late night sushi cravings tonight.
Stay safe and take care, everyone!
