The plants aren’t the only green thing about North End Cafe 🌱

As part of our ethos of community, sustainability and kindness, North End only uses recyclable packaging!

Of course the first of the three ‘R’s is REDUCE- so where possible we use as little packaging as possible and buy our ingredients in bulk quantities. Which brings us to the next ‘R’ - REUSE. We clean and sterilise any glass jars after using all of the product, and reuse them for storing herbs, spices and other dried goods! We also sanitize and cut out our plant milk boxes to reuse as carry trays for coffees!

And the final ‘R’ RECYCLE. We use cardboard and paper packaging wherever we can, but rest assured if you receive a plastic container (like our frozen lasanga and curries) from North End, it is recyclable plastic!

Thought and care goes into everything we do here and we’re very proud to model our values in our business choices.

It’s our two year anniversary 🎉 🥳

When we started this business in 2019 we had no idea the craziness that was coming down the line in 2020 and 2021.

But thanks to the POWER OF LOCAL, we have been able to stay open and flourish and for that we are so so thankful to our loyal customers, Kensington/North Melbourne community and local suppliers and Dorr’s
