Not all steaks are created equal. 🥩
From pasture-fed Victorian beef to richly marbled Wagyu, every cut brings something different to the table — flavour, texture, marbling and character.
At BASQ, we’re particular about the beef we choose and proud to work with exceptional producers including O’Connor, Sher Family Farms and Mayura Station.
Because a great steak starts long before it reaches the grill.

From the butcher’s block to the flame. 🔥🥩
Head Chef Jaysen takes us through the preparation of a beautifully marbled Mayura Wagyu rump cap—also known as picanha.
Cut in-house, seasoned simply, grilled over an open flame and rested before slicing. The generous fat cap melts through the meat as it cooks, creating incredible flavour and tenderness.
The final verdict? “That’s so good.”
