TONIGHT and for one night only, the southern hemisphere’s premier acapella hair metal trio MADE AUSTRIA will be celebrating 25 years of rock dominance at home of the hits The Retreat Hotel.

Having debuted at Melbourne Fringe way back in 2001, the band return triumphant to the festival in 2026 to mark their quarter century of debauched existence.

On this commemorative occasion the six-legged rock n roll beast will be performing a set of rarely-heard gems from the vault, followed by a selection of their classic hits, so strap on your sweatbands and expect a fist-pumping, foot-stomping, full-throated party time!

Support comes from extremely esteemed guests Hot Tubs Time Machine and your favourite local 1980s dance troupe The Real Hot Bi***es.

Announcing SCUZZ - All Things Heavy 🤘 October 30 - November 2

The Retreat Hotel is throwing an epic four day mini-festival dedicated to All Things Heavy. Metal, thrash, punk, all that good s**t. We have some of Naarm’s best and loudest acts, takng place across the Halloween weekend from October 30 - November 2.

Tickets are a measly $15 per day, or you can buy a Festival Pass for entry for the entire four days for $40. You do the math.

To get to the beer garden and pub on Sydney Road in Melbourne, you can take the tram number 19 or 1 from the city center and get off at the Brunswick Road/Sydney Road stop. Alternatively, you could take a train to Brunswick Station and then catch bus number 504 towards Moonee Ponds or bus number 506 towards Westgarth. These buses will drop you off at Sydney Road where you can easily find the beer garden.

If you are driving, take Brunswick Road until you reach Sydney Road, where you will find ample parking options nearby such as street parking or public car parks.

Please note that these directions are not specific to any particular venue and may lead to other locations on Sydney Road as well.
