Thanks to all that came to the CROKINOLE bottom half of the WORLD CUP yesterday.
A great showing, and I think a better quality of play than last year. Sadly Australia has lost the cup for the first time ( after last years close battle with Nepal ) with the cheeky Kiwis stealing the win.Congratulations to Disc Stalker (NZ) for the win, Red Gamer (AU) runner up and with last years winner Al-Fllicks (Au) aslo making the podium.
Shout to to Jeremy Tracey Boards for sponsoring the event, ( which we played exclusively on Tracey boards for the first time ). Congratulations and commiserations to Shifty, who flew down from Sydney, bought a lovely new Tracey board, then three hours later won the pize board, but in accordance to the rules had to give it away ( you are not allowed to cross the streams or own two Trace boards ) to Lucky Lou the youngest player who lived up to her name.
Fancy dress prizes respect is due to Golden Crocky Boy, who took the fancy dress first prize, followed by piratical Magic fingers and the sleek Barracuda who optimized his Crokinole hydrodynamics.
Good fun had by all, see all of you and more next year!
