A beautiful customer brought me a hot chocolateπ« βοΈ, 2 lovely ladies came back after finding us closed earlier in the week, and then another customer told me she found our little shop because Google AI recommended us! π€π₯Ή
Honestly⦠these little moments mean more than I can say.

IβM BACKβ¦ itβs Wednesday afternoon and while I got soaked in the rain today on Traffic the little heater π₯ in the car is fantastic and Iβm nearly almost dry which means Iβm back in the shop today until 5 today. π₯°

This morningβs chalk creation has a very happy little planet, Australia proudly front and centre, and a tiny flight path disappearing off toward a paper plane β which seems particularly appropriate when our lovely neighbours next door happen to be Door Way Travel ! πβοΈ
Thereβs something rather lovely about the thought that you donβt necessarily have to travel halfway around the world to find a little bit of joy.
Sometimes itβs sitting right there on the footpath.
So if youβre wandering through Ringwood East, keep your eyes down occasionallyβ¦ you never know what you might find beneath your feet. πβ€οΈ

β¨ MONDAY MORNING JOYβ¦ FOUND IN A FOIL PACKET β¨
Sometimes joy turns up in the most unexpected places. π₯°
This morning, in front of my little toy shop, it arrived in a foil packet filled with chalk β all sorts of colours, shapes and sizes. π
My mum found it sitting on the side of the road and, knowing me rather well, decided it absolutely needed to be rescued and added to my ever-growing footpath chalk collection. π
Now Iβm standing here looking at it thinkingβ¦
What am I going to draw this morning?
And you know what? I have absolutely no idea and thatβs okay.
Sometimes inspiration doesnβt arrive with a plan. Sometimes it comes from a funny-shaped piece of chalk, something somebody else discarded, a splash of colour on an ordinary Monday morningβ¦ or simply giving yourself permission to start and see what happens. β€οΈ
So I think Iβll pick a colour, head out onto the footpath and let Monday work it out from there.
Who knows what might appear? πβοΈποΈ

Rebuilding is MESSY.
It comes in cardboard boxes piled on the floor, half-finished displays, stock waiting to be unpacked, loaded and moments where the job ahead feels much bigger than I do.
It takes time.
It takes patience.
And some days, it takes more courage and strength than I feel like I have.
But then I look at these little photographs and realise theyβre actually showing me something much bigger.
Movementβ¦ tiny but itβs there.
Boxes are being opened.
Shelves are being filled.
New products are arriving.
Colour is coming back.
The shop is moving forward.
To somebody else, they might just be photos of puzzles, toys and a mountain of cardboard.
To me, they are signs of hope, optimism and possibilityβ¦ perhaps all rolled together with a fairly healthy dash of stubbornness. β€οΈ
Because rebuilding doesnβt happen in one enormous, triumphant moment.
Sometimes it happens one box at a time.
One delivery at a time.
One decision to keep going at a time.
And right now, that is enough.
The Coffee Apple is still here.
And Iβm rebuilding. ππ±
