A true Ligurian classic, Torta Pasqualina is a savoury pie traditionally made to celebrate Easter. Our version stays true to that spirit - layered with braised Swiss chard and leek, folded through creamy ricotta, and lifted with artichoke and fresh marjoram.

Potato Gnocchi with Basil Pesto - available for a limited time only, exclusively for online orders as part of our Ligurian menu.
Soft, pillowy gnocchi made the traditional way, served with a vibrant basil pesto on the side so you can finish it fresh at home.
Our tip: toss the gnocchi through the pesto with a little pasta water just before serving to release the full aroma of basil, garlic, and olive oil.

Ready-made, no shortcuts on flavour.
Marcus walks you through how we prepare our Lamb Provençal - a rustic French classic, slow-braised and ready when you are.
Tender pieces of lamb are slow cooked with fennel, olives and white beans, lifted with a fresh green persillade and finished with slow-roasted cherry tomatoes for that perfect touch of sweetness.
It’s balanced, fragrant and perfect for any season. Just heat, serve with a few slices of baguette and some dressed greens, and you’re done.

Our Shepherd’s Pie begins with tender lamb from the Macedon Ranges, slow-cooked with vegetables, white wine, rosemary and our house-made chicken stock until rich and deeply flavourful.
It’s then topped with buttery Yukon Gold potato mash and finished with Grana Padano for a golden, savoury crust.

A little bit of French countryside comfort, ready whenever you are.
Our Confit Duck begins with locally sourced White Pekin duck legs, gently salted overnight with French herbs, zest and cinnamon quills
They’re then slowly cooked in their own fat until deeply tender.
The result is duck that’s rich, succulent, and ready to crisp beautifully in the oven until golden.
Served with a light jus infused with star anise, orange zest and warming spices, balancing depth with subtle citrus brightness.
For a simple plate, we love it with dressed Frisée leaves and toasted walnuts, perhaps alongside our (Dauphinois) Potatoes Gratin

To get to the coffee shop and salad bar, located on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, you can take public transportation by taking either the tram lines 16 or 70 towards Wattle Park or Waterfront City Docklands respectively. Get off at the Glenferrie Road stop and walk towards your destination.
If driving, there are parking lots nearby including the surface lot at Lido Cinemas or metered street parking along Glenferrie Road. Be sure to check for posted parking restrictions.
Alternatively, you may choose to park at any available parking space near Glenferrie station then transferring on tram line 16 towards Kew or Camberwell and getting off at the Glenferrie Road stop.

Marci, located on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn, is a coffee shop and salad bar that offers wholesome food to takeaway. They specialize in coffee, lunch, and dinner and also provide catering and takeout services. Marci's doors are now open again for dine-in customers in accordance with the new restrictions. Their BBQ salmon with tomato chilli jam, cashews, coconut, and hot mint is a delicious add-on to any of their fresh salads or can be enjoyed on its own. Their Peri Peri Cauliflower salad with white bean puree and St David garlic yoghurt is simple yet delicious. Marci keeps their coffee beans topped up so that customers always have coffee in their cup. Despite lockdowns affecting their business, Marci remains open with the same hours and same delicious fresh food. Their fresh-made bagels are the perfect way to start your day right.
