Natureโs Little Winemakers ๐
Great wine isn't just made in the cellarโit starts right out there in the soil. At our estate, we put just as much love, care, and sustainable practice into the health of our vineyard as we do into our bottles.
By farming with nature, weโve created a thriving ecosystem that attracts the right kind of wildlife. Our hardest-working team members? The bees!
While grapevines are self-pollinating, these little guys are absolutely vital to our Victorian vineyard:
- ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ถ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: They pollinate our inter-row cover crops (like clover), which naturally pump nitrogen back into the soil and keep our vines happy and nourished.
- ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ "๐๐ฎ๐ฝ" ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: Local Aussie research shows that bees visiting grape flowers help dislodge the calyptra (the flower cap). This clears the way for better self-pollination and helps prevent uneven berry sizes!

**By Car:**
1. Start on the nearest major road and follow signs for the M3 Freeway (Eastern Freeway) towards Ringwood.
2. Merge onto the M3 and continue until you reach the exit for Maroondah Highway (B300) towards Healesville.
3. Follow Maroondah Highway until you reach Dixons Creek.
4. Turn onto Melba Highway (C726) and look for your destination along this route.
5. There is parking available on-site.
**By Public Transport:**
1. Take a train from Melbourne's Flinders Street Station to Lilydale Station on the Lilydale Line.
2. From Lilydale Station, transfer to a bus service that heads towards Healesville or Yarra Glen; check local schedules for specific routes that stop near Melba Highway.
3. Once you arrive at your stop, it may require a short walk to reach your final destination along Melba Highway.
