What people say

Cafe Ceylon, located on Center Road, Clarinda has received mixed reviews in recent times. A review from The Age newspaper published on September 21, 2019, praised the restaurant for its authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and its warm and friendly atmosphere. The reviewer particularly enjoyed the Kothu Roti and the Fish Curry, describing them as "bursting with flavor." However, a review from The Herald Sun published on November 3, 2020, criticized Cafe Ceylon's service and portion sizes. The reviewer noted that while the food was tasty, it was overpriced for the small portions served.

Customer comments posted online echo similar sentiments. One customer praised Cafe Ceylon's "amazing food" but complained about the slow service. Another customer noted that while they enjoyed their meal, they found it to be too expensive compared to other Sri Lankan restaurants in the area.

A more recent review from Time Out Melbourne published on February 22, 2021, described Cafe Ceylon's Asian Fusion dishes as "creative" but also mentioned some inconsistencies in the quality of their dishes. Overall, Cafe Ceylon seems to be a hit-or-miss experience with customers recommending trying out specific dishes like Kothu Roti or Fish Curry while others warn against high prices and long wait times.
