Sri Ananda Bhavan is a South Indian restaurant located on Vesper Drive in Melbourne that offers a pure vegetarian menu with authentic flavors of home-cooked meals. South Indian cuisine is known for its brilliant blend of flavors, colors, seasoning, nutritional balance, fragrance, taste, and visual appeal. The restaurant serves a variety of popular dishes like Idli, Dosa and Sambhar which are loved across India.
The restaurant believes in the ancient Hindu script "Athithi Devo Bhava" which means that "The guest is equivalent to God", and they make sure to satisfy every guest that walks through their doors. The menu is traditional yet diverse with mouth-watering South Indian breakfast served throughout the day, traditional Thali (Meals) for lunch and dinner including their special Kalyanasappadu, and Indo Chinese for the adventurous guest.
One of the highlights of Sri Ananda Bhavan is their exclusive Coffee counter that serves authentic South Indian "filter" coffee. They also offer BYO beer and wine. Most of their dishes are suited to the Vegan lifestyle making it an ideal place for vegetarians and vegans.
