It still feels like yesterday — signing the lease, renovating the space together, just the two of us, and excitedly getting everything ready to open our doors for the very first time.
Since then, there have been plenty of ups and downs, unexpected challenges, happy moments, difficult moments, and everything in between.
Through it all, JAN CHI has grown a little stronger each year. We’ve learned, we’ve changed, we’ve grown — and most importantly, we’ve kept going.
And somehow, we’re now stepping into our 8th year.
For all these years, we’ve been lucky enough to be a small part of your happy meals, catch-ups, celebrations, and precious moments with the people you care about.
We know we wouldn’t have made it this far without the people who walked through our doors, came back again and again, told their friends about us, and supported our little restaurant along the way.
Eight years later, we’re still the same two people behind JAN CHI, doing what we’ve always tried to do — serve food you enjoy, create a place where you feel welcome, and look after everyone who walks through our doors.
When we look back at these eight years, through all the highs and lows, what remains with us most is gratitude.
Grateful for how far we’ve come.
Thankful for everyone who has been part of the journey.
And blessed to still be here, doing what we love.
