As a proud Peninsula local, Iām excited to share my love of food with the Rye community.
Ā
After many years in the corporate world, Iāve taken a leap of faith to follow my dream and pour my heart into this beautiful little deli.
Ā
Anyone who knows me knows that food is my love language. My home has always been a place where family gathers, friends are welcomed and nobody ever leaves hungry. Thatās exactly the feeling I want to bring to Montino.

Growing up in a Croatian family and marrying into an Italian family, food has always been at the centre of every celebration, conversation and memory. I canāt wait to share some of the European flavours, traditions and products that I grew up with and love so much.

Montino isnāt just a deli to me - itās an extension of my home.
Ā
This is a new chapter for Montino and I canāt wait to meet you all. Please pop in and say hello, grab a coffee, browse the shelves, or simply wave hello as you walk past.

As lots of you know already.. We are beginning our transition back to the big smoke, our 5 year chapter is at the 4 year mark and we have put our gorgeous Italian deli on the market.. We are patiently waiting for the next owner operator to take over this successful little deli thatās serviced the town of Rye for the last 25years.. weāve loved every up and down of business owner life and will continue to serve our loyal customers up until our last coffee is poured and the final slices of ham are wrapped..

Our first delivery of Lucas brand canned fish arrived today from the We are loving the gorgeous wrapped tins of Portuguese fish and the product certainly lives up to its beautiful packaging.. We currently have in stock- stuffed calamari, spiced tuna pate, cod pate, tuna fillets, sardines in lemon olive oil, sardines in piri piri and sardines in olive oilā¦ come in and check them out šš¦šš¶ļø

The new front counter, installed by local cabinet maker Tim Rogers, adds to the charm of the place. The rabbit and confit onion terrine with hot English mustard and fig and olive crisp bread are perfect for an afternoon snack. Montinodeli also has a range of rubs that can enhance the flavor of your favorite fish or cut of meat. Their freshly caught calamari with broccolini, prosciutto, garlic, and olive oil tossed through laganelle al limone topped with crunchy pangrattato is simply divine. They have also recently added chocolate stars and trees to their menu just in time for Christmas. These make for perfect gifts or grown-up treats.
