Good Friday saw us absolutely run off our feet from the moment we opened till closing, and while we appreciate the influx of customers, it has left us running on empty with not much left in the tank. As a result we have made the very hard decision to close Alex's Fish & Chips today, Saturday 4th April. We absolutely hate to dissapoint our customers and hope you can understand, as we navigate our way.
Last but not least, we want to thank each and everyone of our customers both new and regular for your continued support. We read all your comments, and see all the likes.
❤ Alex and Lia.

Important Update - Alex's Fish and Chips are adjusting days
Apologies for the multiple updates; we promise we’re not trying to spam you! 😊 We’re hoping this will be the last update/schedule change for a while.
Thanks to the incredible support in the comments (and some great suggestions from you all), Alex and Lia have decided to make a permanent change: they will now be closed on Tuesdays in addition to the regular Monday closures.
This will begin tomorrow.
They understand that the notice is very short, and they genuinely appreciate your understanding. The shop's online business hours have already been updated, and the phone message will let anyone calling ahead to order tomorrow of the new schedule as well.
If you happen to know any friends or family who were planning to visit tomorrow, we'd really appreciate it if you could give them a quick heads-up to save them the trip.
Thank you again for all the love and understanding, Alex and Lia truly appreciate this community.

Alex's Fish & Chips will be
closed today, Sunday 22 March and will be
re-opening on Tuesday.
Alex and Lia want to say a massive thank you to Prune Masters, Melbourne with Kidz, and all the other social media pages and channels that have taken the time to review and share about the shop, your shout-outs have been incredible. And to every single customer who’s supported the shop, it means the world to them.
With a big recent jump in customers, the early starts (sometimes as early as 5–6 am for Alex) to hand-prep double the usual amount of fresh chips, potato cakes, fish and burgers has been a bit to manage. Feeling a touch overwhelmed, Alex and Lia are trying their best but just need these couple of days to properly rest and recharge.
Alex will be back behind the counter on Tuesday, ready to welcome you with the same love and care as always.
They're genuinely sorry for any inconvenience and so grateful for your understanding ❤️

Due to recent videos of Alex's Fish & Chips we have had an unprecedented demand and increase in patronage. This has been great and we love that more people have been able to experience our food. HOWEVER, this has meant for the first time ever, we literally RAN OUT OF POTATOES. Our delivery is expected today, because we do everything by hand, we need time to prepare and cut the chips many of you love and enjoy. What this means, we will be closed in the morning (Thursday 19th March), with an aim to open our store today at 4pm. We apologise for the inconvenience, but also dont want to compromise the quality of our product.
We want to thank each and everyone of our customers for your continued support of our family business over the years.
❤ Alex and Lia.
