Big couple of days in the kitchen — crafting a drop-off dinner for 25 guests.
Three canapés, three proteins, three sides… hours of prep, a flurry of pans, and the quiet satisfaction of seeing it all packed, labelled, and ready to delight.

Dukkah-coated Lamb Backstrap on a splash of tahini dressing, char-grilled eggplant and capsicum with feta & pomegranate

Rocket salad, tossed with fresh and Shiraz poached pears, candied walnuts, topped with Parmesan shavings
Sweet balsamic-glazed beetroot, red and yellow, fresh asparagus, orange and pink grapefruit segments & Persian feta
Layered individual potato gratin topped with Parmesan and fresh thyme.

Another cocktail party done and dusted! This time, I had the pleasure of debuting two new canapés that received rave reviews:
1. Creamy Blue Cheese on Oat Cracker: A luscious blend of blue cheese atop a crunchy oat cracker, crowned with delicate slithers of red wine-poached pear, and finished with a garnish of crispy fried leek.
2. Mushroom & Walnut Duxelles Baby Pie: A savory baby pie filled with rich mushroom and walnut duxelles, topped with velvety polenta and shavings of Parmesan.
Of course, we couldn’t resist featuring one of our perennial favorites: Charcoal Cracker with Sashimi Tuna and Wasabi Crème. The contrast of flavors and textures made it a standout as always.

Fabulous venue for a party !!
Anyone can use it -call Michele for more details. 0466883153 St Kilda Surf Club .We catered for a 60th birthday party! 75 guests / sit down luncheon .The lunch included a menu of * Thai chicken green mango tomato coriander, Thai basil and noodle salad with fresh lime and chilli * Medley of tomatoes fresh basil caperberries *Duck breast with smoky orange salad on a bed of shaved fennel blood orange segments, candied walnuts, green beans, & 4 pillars gin smoked salt!

Despite the uninviting weather, our food and the occasion certainly made up for it. !
We hosted a fabulous cocktail party in a beautiful home in Mt Eliza 3-6 PM yesterday.
The fire was going, champagne corks were popping & plenty of red wines flowing
We love catering for such fun events.
Canapés included
Corn rosti with melting blue cheese and seared eye fillet
Sesame prawn toast with wasabi, pickled ginger and wakame salad.
Caramelised onion tartlets with slow roasted tomato and fresh thyme
One of the grazing platters was a whole fillet of Parmesan & Basil crusted Salmon with lime aioli.
