What people say
The Atlantic is a seafood restaurant that offers an unforgettable dining experience in Melbourne. The restaurant's contemporary and minimalist design draws inspiration from New York's meat packers district and the bustling fish markets of yesteryear in both New York and Chicago. One of the main highlights of The Atlantic is the highly visible refrigerated glass showcase, which displays a picturesque feast of fresh fish of every variety.
The menu at The Atlantic is comprehensive, offering shucked to order oyster varieties, seafood delicacies, soups and chowders, and hot and cold appetisers available individually or to share. Customers can choose from a variety of fillet portions or whole fish to share, featuring a unique range of wild and sustainable fish as well as aqua cultured fish. The Oyster Bar & Grill offers unique oyster varieties along with a selection of hot and cold seafood dishes.
The interior of the 300 seat restaurant is dimly lit with an emphasis on timber beams and screens to balance the raw industrial feel, with sumptuous fabrics in 'colours of the sea' bringing it to life. There are several private and exclusive dining areas available for customers who want a more intimate experience.
Overall, The Atlantic provides unparalleled quality fresh seafood that will delight diners' tastebuds. With its unique menu offerings, stunning interior design, and exceptional service, it's no wonder why this restaurant has become one of Melbourne's top seafood destinations.
