What people say
The Standard Hotel on Fitzroy Street in Melbourne is a pub that is hard to find but easy to love. The food served here is beautiful, and the beers are delicious. They also have a cracking wine list that will satisfy any wine lover's palate. But what sets this pub apart from others in the area is its beer garden, which is undoubtedly the best in Fitzroy.
The Standard Hotel has been posting updates on social media, keeping their customers informed about their latest offerings. Their vegan roast cauliflower steak served with risoni, almonds, fresh herbs, sultanas atop a warm romanesco sauce is a must-try for vegans and non-vegans alike. Their lamb, black garlic and sorrel snags are sourced from Meatsmith next door and are top-shelf stuff.
If you're looking for something to drink, The Standard Hotel has got you covered with their "Fedora Tipper" Orange by Wilkie Wines, which has been a hot favourite lately. They also have CBCo Brewing Port Melbourne cooler up for grabs at next week's trivia night.
The Standard Hotel was recently ranked #2 in The Best Parmas in Melbourne by Time Out Melbourne. And if you're looking for something healthy yet hearty to eat, try their Roast Pumpkin Salad served with goats cheese, pepitas, quinoa, hazelnuts and a pinch o' preserved lemon.
Overall, The Standard Hotel offers an excellent dining experience with great food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
