That’s it, folks!
Thank you for seeing us off in style - what an epic weekend we had!
Today was a funny one for us - reliving last nights party whilst we emptied the building ready for the kitchen walls to come down tomorrow and the for sale sign to go up.. ending almost twenty years of this incredible warehouse functioning as a cafe.
Thank you to each and every one of you for the last two years, what a ride we’ve had. We have loved feeding and being on this journey with you all, and I can speak for our whole team when I say that we feel nourished by the love we have received over and over again.
By supporting us, you’ve helped us keep our team of amazing young locals employed whilst the world navigated Covid, you have empowered us to use our platform as a business for good, to get food out to people who have needed love in challenging circumstances, you have used us as a vehicle for so many acts of kindness within our local community, and you have been an incredible example of what ‘community’ really does look like. We love this town, and we are so grateful for the support - making the decision to close our doors rather than sign a new lease wasn’t easy for us, but it was the right time.
The team have new roles locally so you’ll be seeing everyone about - and you can find Simone at her dress shop Fossick, which is in Diamond Creek.
As for me.. well, if you have loved my shenanigans and hilarity, you will find me counter-side at Mamma Says in Fairfield. I didn’t ever imagine I’d be hanging up my apron strings, but here we are - I am so excited to be working with Amanda and Dan, and to shift the gears on an already phenomenal business with them. You’ll find us at 120 Station Street - I know you’re going to love it there, and here’s a tip - you need to try the shakshuka, it is next level.
Signing off with a full heart, and a debt of gratitude I could never repay - thank you for everything. I love all of you for everything you are and do - this has been epic.

Burgers ✅ Milkshakes ✅
Thank you to everyone who came down tonight - we had an amazing time (and sorry if we didn’t get to chat to you all) - we’ll be back tomorrow at 9 for brekkie.
We’re having our last farewell from 12PM Sunday - it’s our last day, AGN’s birthday, and we’d like to welcome you all in to join us for a drink - bring a bottle, buy a bottle - let’s say goodbye properly, for the last time, and have a moment of thankfulness and gratitude for everything we’ve been through together in the last 18 months.

Last call for tickets to our milkshake social with Sweet & Tender Hooligan tomorrow night folks!
We were being a bit secretive about the menu but here it is!
- Our much loved plant burger with plant bacon, aioli, onion relish, lettuce and tomato
- Truffled portobello mushroom
- Falafel, with lemon and tahini
- A throwback to our early days - the gluten free veggie patty
- Southern fried plant patty with slaw, aioli and onion relish
- And our chilli dogggg.. by request of Jacqui Herself.
Everything comes with our famous and controversial amongst Eltham Life chat chips, and we’ll also have some extras available to order - like our chilli cheese fries.
Ticket includes a burger and your first of Jacqui’s legendary shakes!
Hot tip: if you’re booking on mobile, you need to click ‘attend’ before it’ll let you select how many tickets you’d like - we were flummoxed by this too! 💚

Sorry gang, we’re going to be CLOSED SUNDAY!
We got absolutely wiped today - you did the same to us last Sunday, too - we love having this problem but our cupboards and fridges are now empty and we have no way to replenish them in time.
For example, our much loved sourdough needs 36 hours to be made! We had enough baked to last us three days and we’ve got all of six slices left.. and we can’t be serving up our brekkies with inferior carbs.
We’ll be back on Tuesday from 8AM - thank you for loving us today, next week is our last week of trading before we close our doors on Sunday - we’re looking forward to seeing you all one last time 💚

Soooold out.. sorry gang, you wiped us out - our kitchen is empty and Jacqui is left with some ice cream and espresso.. which we’re needing for ourselves right now.
We’ll be doing this one last time before we close the doors, on Friday the 25/2 - a burger and shake night time special!

Todays the day! Frappes and shakes joining our regular menu from 10-2PM with our best mate Jac from Sweet & Tender Hooligan!

Happy satdee!
Tomorrow’s gonna be a ripper agaaaaain - so our mate Jac at Sweet & Tender Hooligan will be back from 10AM-2PM slinging frappes and a million other iced drinks as well as delivering weird jokes, goth vibes and smiles.
This will be our second to last frappe social before we close our doors - and after that, who knows where you’ll find us!
Details to come for our last team up Friday 25th February - we’re planning a cheesy burger and milkshake night complete with nightmare britpop tunes and all manner of dreadfully fun bits and bobs!

Happy Satdeeeeee..
.We’re feeling the end of a long week so we’re throwing our sensible brekkie out the window and treating ourselves to these vegan, house made flaxseed waffles with strawberries, banana, maple syrup and chocolate chip ice cream.
These won’t be lasting long (cos if you don’t eat them, we will) - $14 to set you up for your day!

Take any tram that goes to Swanston Street in Melbourne. Get down at Swanston Street Station. From there, change to a connecting tram that goes to Queen Victoria Market. Get off at the corner of Queen Victoria Market/Shed D/La Trobe Street and walk towards Bolton Street.
Option 2 (Driving/Parking):
Drive onto Elizabeth Street or William Street towards Melbourne CBD, and turn left onto La Trobe Street.
