MOTHER’S DAY AT BURMESE HOUSE

For many of us, love looked like a table of homemade food.

Aunty frying up snacks in the kitchen.
Extra rice appearing before you even ask.
A curry simmering away all afternoon.
Dessert saved for the very end.

This Mother’s Day, we’re bringing those flavours to the table with a special shared set menu inspired by the meals we grew up with.

$60pp — Lunch & Dinner

• A Kyaw Sone
(Assorted Burmese Fritters)

• Curry with Turmeric Rice
• Balachaung & Chawtani

• Semolina Cake
• Pipi’s Thingpi

For mums, grandmas, aunties, and the people who made us feel at home.

Bookings now open.

we’re been playing around with something and .lingpaak popped in to help us figure it out and sang Nang Tawh in our little corner 👩‍❤️‍👨🤍 and it has kinda sweet our hearts in fire!!!❤️‍🔥

Not sure know what this is just yet but it won't be too loud, just a bit of jamming, live music, food, and people.

Maybe you'll come sing too?

Mother’s Day isn't easy when you're far from home. For the students, the workers, the ones who are missing home a little more than usual… this Mother’s Day, we’re serving this kind of food that feels like being looked after.

We're expanding our menu with .tinhla on Sunday, 10 May with some dishes that remind us of our mother’s cooking.

Come by, bring your friends, or just bring yourself. You don't have to spend the day alone 💘

Mohinga is finally here!

Our most requested dish — slow, soulful, and made the way it should be. Each batch takes us about two days to prepare, so we’ll only be serving it in limited quantities.

When it’s gone, it’s gone…until the next round from Friday to Sunday!

As we grow, we’re building our team carefully to meet the demand while making sure we don’t waste food or overstretch our cooks. Thank you for your patience as we do this the right way.

We can’t wait for you to try it 🤍
