Maria Cafe on Main Street, Melbourne is a must-visit coffee shop for all coffee lovers out there. This month, they are featuring coffee from El Parche Coffee Roasters, a small-batch roastery based in Coburg that showcases the best of Latin American coffee. The founder of El Parche, Jorge Ruiz, grew up in Colombia and loves to source unique Central and South American coffees while ensuring farmers are given recognition and paid fairly for their hard work. You can enjoy their coffee on Batch Brew and Pour-Over or grab a bag to take home and brew yourself.
For plant-based lovers out there, Maria Cafe has got you covered with their delicious and healthy vegan options. Their vegan tofu scramble and salsa de huevo oaxaqueña tofu scram are so flavourful that you can tell they took actual thought and effort instead of your typical vegan faux meat burger option.
Mamma Knows East also stopped by Maria Cafe recently, which is a testament to how great this cafe is. And if you're looking for something sweet to indulge in, try their Buttermilk Waffles Special with sherry-poached quince, pistachio praline crumb, whipped mascarpone, chai butterscotch, raspberries and vanilla ice cream - available only on weekends.
Overall, Maria Cafe is a gem on Main Street that offers great coffee and food options that cater to everyone's taste buds.
