In her early adulthood during World War II, she pursued a career in teaching, forming lifelong friendships and eventually meeting her husband Leo Driscoll. The couple married in 1954 and went on to raise a large family of fifteen children. After the passing of Leo in 1972, Mollie relocated with her children to Bendigo in 1975. Today, the diner stands as a tribute to Mollie's legacy and serves as a warm gathering place embodying familial love and community spirit.
