Birthday fun at The Wattle Cafe!

We had such a fun birthday celebration at the cafe!

The kids started off with hot dogs, milkshakes and party food, then headed over to Griff’s Place for a play, before coming back to the cafe for birthday cake and more treats.

It was such a fun afternoon and we loved being able to use our little cafe space for something a bit different.

If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a small kids birthday celebration, have a chat with us — we’d love to see if we can put together something special for you.

What people say

Brunch on McBride is a charming family-run café located on Mcbride Street in Melbourne. This cozy coffee shop and breakfast & brunch restaurant is known for its delicious food, friendly staff, and warm atmosphere. The café offers a variety of mouth-watering dishes, but their most popular breakfast item is the Brunch avo smash. It's a must-try for anyone who visits this lovely café.

One of the unique features of Brunch on McBride is that they bake their gluten-free orange cake on premises using fresh oranges as the main ingredient. Their sourdough bread is also something to rave about, with even the bread itself smiling!

Apart from serving great food, Brunch on McBride also gives back to the community. They recently donated $167 to Chris White, current Cockatoo Rural Fire Brigade captain. This act of kindness shows how much they care about their community and customers.

The café's owners are grateful for their customers' support and take time off during holidays like Easter to rest and recover. They have faced some challenges this year but have overcome them with resilience and are back on track for an awesome remainder of the year.

Overall, Brunch on McBride is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious meal while soaking up the welcoming atmosphere created by its friendly staff.
