Lilette - Maison de la Gourmandise is a charming coffee shop and breakfast & brunch restaurant located on Glenferrie Road in Melbourne. This little slice of France was created by two passionate French patisserie chefs for their daughter, Amelie. The salon de the/masion de la gourmandise is filled with the most extraordinary creations, including French pastries, macarons, croissants, tarts and exquisite chocolate confections. What sets Lilette apart from other patisseries is their uncompromising quality and use of sourced products such as biodynamic flour from Powlett Hill in Campbelltown, Victoria and Chocolate from Valhrona in Lyon, France.
The pastries at Lilette are classic and simple using traditional French techniques resulting in a delicate treat that is not too heavy and not too sweet. They are guilt-free and just perfect! The combined talents and experience of Thomas and Christina as pastry chefs (and Christinaβs Masters of International Hotel and Foodservice Management from the Institute Paul Bocuse, Ecully, FRANCE) make for an unforgettable experience.
Thomas was born in Lyon, France (the gastronomic capital of France) and started his career with Marc Veyrat β one of the most famous chefs in Europe. He has headed up the Patisserie in some of the best 5-star hotels in France and Australia (Four Seasons in Sydney and Ritz-Carlton in the USA). It was inevitable that he would open up his own business here in Australia.
If you're looking for a taste of France right here in Melbourne, then Lilette - Maison de la Gourmandise is definitely worth a visit. Their commitment to quality ingredients combined with traditional French techniques make for an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave you wanting more!
