Barbecue restaurants are a staple in the food scene, and Coal Blooded Griller in Martin Street, Melbourne is no exception. This barbecue and burger restaurant promises to deliver low and slow cooked meats with kick-ass sides that will leave you wanting more. The custom-built smoker and barbecue pit take pride of place, ensuring that the meats are cooked to perfection.
The menu boasts a range of house-smoked meats, including chopped pork shoulder and beef brisket by the gram, glazed pork baby back ribs, and hefty burgers sandwiched between locally made milk buns. The crispy fried chicken burger is one of their specialties, perfected over the years by their head chef Josh Monteiro. And for those who like it extra spicy, a Changz-inspired version of this burger is set to hit the menu soon.
But it's not just about the meat at Coal Blooded Griller; their lineup of classic share-friendly sides is equally impressive. From buffalo or saucy barbecue wings to cheesy jalapeno poppers and flame-grilled corn slathered in coriander butter, pecorino, and chipotle - there's something for everyone.
To top it off, they have a range of local beers and some neat cocktails to wash down all that delicious food. So if you're looking for a new go-to spot for some mouth-watering barbecue in Melbourne, Coal Blooded Griller should definitely be on your list!
