I had a very special day at Bossa today cooking with Chef Claudia.
I am Debora, Claudia's business partner and we are best friends.
It was also a very special day because we cooked, in my view, one of the most authentic dishes of the Brazilian culinary: Pato no Tucupi, which we will have in our specials this weekend, in a limited amount though.
The tucupi is a delicious indigenous sauce derived from Cassava and traditional from the State of Pará and most of the Amazon Region. It is very close to my heart. I am from Brasilia, go figure, but it was introduced to me by Dona Ana Maria, my forevermore mother in law.
The ingredients came from Brazil. Perhaps one day we will be able to buy Tucupi, jambu and farinha do Pará here. Or if someone knows where to buy, please let us know.
Do you have any special Brazilian dish that you would like to see in our specials?

Escape the chill with our slow-simmered Caldo Verde, crafted lovingly from scratch to bring the comforting warmth of a traditional Brazilian home straight to your table. Bossa's Caldo Verde is inspired by the traditional Portuguese soup but in addition to potato we also add cassava in our recipe.
We will be serving Caldo Verde throughout Winter.

The beautiful thing about Brazilian Culture is that we are a mix of different backgrounds that reflects immensely in our cuisine.
At Bossa Nova we often show this diversity through our special menu. This weekend we are all about our Italian influence. We have this tender and rich Beef & Tomato Stew served with Creamy Soft Polenta.
If you are a fan of Italian Food, you definitely should come to Bossa Nova Cafe in Carlton.

Celebrate Mother's Day at Bossa Nova!!! This Saturday and Sunday in addition to our regular menu, we are organizing a Roast Pork Ribs marinated in beer, orange and spices served with plantain banana and bacon Farofa. For dessert, we take the opportunity that mandarin is in season to prepare a sauce to serve on the top of a baked Vanilla Cheesecake. The combination sounds delicious 😋
We start to serve lunch from 10am!
