Most people know Pasta Face.
Not many know how it started.
I got my first job stacking shelves at Coles before starting my chef apprenticeship at 16 years old through William Angliss Institute.
I began my apprenticeship in a family restaurant in Werribee before completing it with Grossi Restaurants, eventually working under at Grossi Florentino, where I made friendships and memories I'll carry for life.
Like many chefs, I loved the industry, but after years of nights, weekends and long hours, I reached a point where I felt I'd missed out on a lot of family life.
So I made a big decision.
I walked away from cooking completely.
I travelled overseas, came home, and spent the next 12 years working outside hospitality.
I honestly thought my cooking career was over.
Then in 2014, my wife and I came up with an idea.
A pasta food truck.
At the time, nobody was doing it.
What started as a simple idea soon became Pasta Face.
Looking back, it probably makes sense that I found my way back to pasta.
As an Italian kid, some of my best memories were around a table full of family, food and laughter.
I learnt from great chefs throughout my career, but I also learnt from my mum and the Italian nonnas who taught me that food is about more than what's on the plate.
It's about bringing people together.
That's why we started Pasta Face.
Not just to serve pasta.
To create moments where people can slow down, connect and share a meal with the people around them.
More than a decade later, that's still what we're all about today. ❤️🍝

How did Pasta Face get its name? 🍝
Growing up in an Italian family, some of our best memories happened around a table like this.
Big bowls of pasta.
Everyone talking at once.
Lots of laughter.
Lots of food.
It was never really about the pasta..
It was about family, connection, and the people you shared it with.
And when the pasta was really good, you'd finish with sauce all over your lips and face...
A true Pasta Face. 😄
That's where the name came from.

Another amazing night ❤️
We just want to say a genuine thank you to everyone who has visited and supported us over the last two days. The turnout, patience, kind words, and support from the local community has honestly meant a lot to us.
It’s been a huge opening weekend and we’re already working behind the scenes to fine tune and streamline our process to make ordering even smoother and easier moving forward.
We’re only just getting started.

What a night!
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our grand opening with us. The support, patience, and energy throughout the night honestly meant a lot.
It was a hectic one, but seeing the place full, the food flowing, and everyone enjoying themselves made it all worth it.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support from our community, family, friends, customers, and everyone who stopped by to be part of it.

Today we officially open the doors to our new Pasta Face home in Sunbury 🍝
As we settle into the new space and service flow, we’ll be starting with a more focused launch menu for opening weekend.
Some previous favourites won’t be available just yet, however we’ll continue building the menu over time, bringing back some of the popular Pasta Face favourites people know and love while also introducing plenty of new additions along the way.
