Dear Family, Friends and Guests,
After 3.5 weeks of continual discussions with our suppliers, staff and especially friends and family of Ginseng, we unfortunately have to announce that our "Take Away menu" will have items and prices adjusted as of the 27th of June to cover the dramatic increase of produce and expenses.
We do apologise for these changes, however we hope that everyone may understand that these changes are necessary in order for the Ginseng Restaurant to continue.
We kindly thank you, your family, friends and guests, from the bottom of our hearts for your continual support over the past 15+ years. Only with your continued support, our Ginseng Team has withstood these challenging times.

Great to see everyone excited about footy season!! Hence, we’ve extended our delivery hours to cater for family footy @ home.
Our delivery hours are now:
Sun - Thurs 5pm - 8pm
Fri & Sat 5pm - 6:30pm
(Closed Mondays)
As usual, we will endeavor to deliver and extend these these hours where possible, however, it is subject to driver availability.

Thank you!! We are back from holidays!!
It has been a great week of Chinese New Year holidays for our Ginseng Team and we will open again from Tuesday, 8th of February.
We always kindly thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support, patience and understanding as we continue to operate our family business regardless of lock-downs and also during this challenging time of a global pandemic.
Helping us to be resilient allows us to adapt or change our methods and operations as required at the Ginseng Restaurant in order to be COVID-Safe and remain open to serve guests our cuisines.
We would also like to advise, as of Tuesday 8th of February 2022, our Dine In Table menu items and prices have been adjusted.
This adjustment is due to increase of produce costs which have increased dramatically from our suppliers since late November last year. Although we have to kept our prices the same throughout Christmas for everyone as we are forever grateful to you, our guest, family, friends and staff during all these perpetual challenges. We now, unfortunately can no longer continue to absorb all of it. Hence, we kindly thank you for your understanding of this change and continued support.
Rest assured, if one had any booked future functions with pre-organised menus at our Ginseng restaurant, your menu items and costs will remain the same as previously enquired.
Our kitchen staff would also like to thank everyone again for not entering our restaurant via our rear entrance during this time of COVID outbreak, as they are the heart of the Ginseng Restaurant.

Dear Family, Friends & Guests,
We kindly thank you for your continued support and patience.
Due to staffing issues and the growing numbers in COVID-19, we have made some changes effectively to keep you, your family & our staff safe.
The following immediate changes are:
- Takeaway deliveries are to be ordered via UBER and Menulog only as we currently do not have any drivers ourselves available. I understand it can be frustrating when these 3rd party companies do not have drivers also and orders may be cancelled or delayed by them, however, an alternative is to pick up the order yourself which we will have your order ready in a timely matter. Pickup takeaway can be ordered via our website www.ginsengrestaurant.com.au or clickling the above link.
- Guest & friends access to our restaurant will only be through the front door via Nepean Highway. Our rear entrance will be closed off to provide safety for our chefs whom are the heart of the restaurant.
- Our dining rooms seating capacity will be reduced according to the number of our staff. Please do not be offended if there are tables available but we do not seat you as we are endeavor to keep our standards as high as possible during these challenging times. Hence, to avoid disappointment, we kindly ask one to reserve their tables in advance.
Again, we kindly thank everyone for their support, understanding and patience. I especially thank all my staff for hard work, commitment and resilience.

Please be advised due to limited drivers and road conditions, our takeaway deliveries for tonight, Saturday 30th Oct, will only available during 5-6:30pm only. Last “delivery” orders to be processed before 6:30pm.
Takeaway for pickup will still be available until close of kitchen.

To get to the restaurant located on Nepean Highway in Melbourne, you can take the Frankston line train and get off at Moorabbin station. From there, the restaurant is a 10-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can take bus route 923 and get off at the intersection of South Road and Nepean Highway, which is also a short walk away from the restaurant.
If you prefer to drive, there is parking available nearby either on-street or at the park-and-ride lot on South Road. Please be aware that parking may be limited during peak hours.
