We’re running it back. Aunty’s Gà Kho Sả Ớt 🔥

You might remember this one from before, and we couldn’t think of a better special to bring back.

Inspired by Dee’s mama’s braised lemongrass & chilli chicken and the almighty bánh mì, this bagel is punchy, comforting, a little spicy, and very, very Dee.

And this time around, it means a little more to us. 🥲❤️

After more than 2 years with Migrant, our Venue Manager Dee will be finishing up with us towards the end of this month.

Dee has been such a huge part of Migrant and everything that makes this place what it is. We’ve been incredibly lucky to have her, and she’s going to be sorely missed by the whole team.

So for her final weekend, we’re bringing back one of her specials for one last send-off. ❤️‍🔥

Aunty’s Gà Kho Sả Ớt will be available this Saturday and Sunday only. 🥯

Come by this week, say hi to Dee and show her some love before she wraps up, then swing through this weekend and get around her special one more time.

We’re gonna miss you, Dee. ❤️

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT - SERENA PHAM

This month, we’re proud to feature the work of Serena Pham, a Vietnamese-Australian painter based in Footscray.

Inspired by hidden gardens, glowing windows, reflections and quiet moments discovered while wandering local streets, Serena creates dreamlike paintings that invite us to slow down and find wonder in the everyday.

After stepping away from painting for more than a decade, Serena rediscovered her creative practice during a period of change and new beginnings. What followed was not just a return to art, but a journey of self-discovery, healing and connection.

From this Thursday, you’ll find a selection of Serena’s work on display throughout Migrant, including her signature piece, Called Home. A range of limited edition prints will also be available to purchase in store.

We’re excited to share Serena’s work with the community and celebrate the incredible creative talent that exists right here in Melbourne’s west.

Introducing the Migrant Winter Collection ’26.

This one feels really special to me.

It’s the first line of merch I’ve released since taking over Migrant, and I wanted it to mean something more than just a hoodie, long sleeve or cap.

For a long time, it was a dream of mine to one day own a café. I feel incredibly lucky to now be the owner of Migrant, a place that already meant so much to so many people before I stepped in, and continues to grow into something really special every day.

This collection is dedicated to capturing this moment in time.

The artwork is inspired by our West Footscray storefront, the people who walk through our doors, the conversations that happen over coffee, the bagels shared at our tables, and the little details that make this place feel like home.

If you look closely, you’ll see customers from all different backgrounds, a nod to biscuit tje pug next door, familiar faces, coffee cups, bagels and small details that tell the story of our little corner of Barkly Street.

Every piece features Migrant Coffee embroidery on the front, designed to be simple, timeless and everlasting. The hood and long sleeve also feature our custom storefront artwork on the back, created as a tribute to the community that continues to shape who we are.

A big thank you to my friends and family who helped bring this design to life. This collection wouldn’t have happened without the people around me who understood how much this first drop meant.

The Migrant Winter Collection ’26 is limited in stock and available now in store and through our website.

Thank you for continuing to support us over the last 6 months.

Hope you enjoy this one.

🔥 BULGOGI BOOM IS COMING THIS WEEKEND 🔥

Fam, we've been working behind the scenes to make this one enjoyed by more of our community.

We've managed to find a halal-friendly beef supplier for our bulgogi and have also adjusted the recipe to use gluten-free soy sauce for our gluten-free friends.

Think tender bulgogi beef, sweet charred corn, fresh greens and plenty of flavour, all packed into your bagel of choice.

Add kimchi and cheese to level it up 🌶️🧀

Available weekends only for a limited time from June 13.

Can't wait for you to get around this one, fam. ❤️

See you for some Bulgogi this Saturday. 🥯

The Bulgogi Boom lands this Saturday, 13 June. Available weekends only for a limited time.

Inspired by the Korean BBQ catch-ups we all know and love, this one is loaded with bulgogi beef, sweet corn with mayo and mixed greens, packed into your choice of bagel.

Want to level it up? Add cheese or a side of kimchi.

And for our gluten-free fam, we've made this one using gluten-free soy sauce too.

See you soon ❤️🥯

💥 BULGOGI BOOM 💥

New bagel special coming your way.

Available as a weekend-only special for a limited time from Saturday 13 June.

One of my favourite things to do is catch up with friends and family over Korean BBQ. Whether it's a celebration, a birthday, or just an excuse to get everyone around a table, Korean BBQ always seems to be the answer.

And every single time, there are two things that end up on the table: bulgogi beef and corn cheese.

Sweet, savoury, cheesy and ridiculously good.

So we thought we'd bring those flavours to Migrant and turn them into a bagel.

Introducing the Bulgogi Boom.

Loaded with bulgogi beef, corn cheese, mixed greens and a side of kimchi, all packed into your choice of bagel.

It's sweet, savoury, cheesy and packed with flavour in every bite.

We can't wait for you to try it.

A new winter special lands at Migrant from June 4. ☕🖤

We've teamed up with to bring you their Signature Black Sesame Latte for a limited time.

Built on a double shot of espresso, black sesame and maple syrup, it's rich, nutty, slightly sweet and finished with silky soy milk. Think your morning coffee with a deep roasted sesame twist.

If you're a black sesame lover, this one's for you. If you've never tried black sesame before, this is a pretty good place to start.

What people say

Migrant Coffee, located on Barkly Street in Melbourne, is a must-visit café for coffee and bagel lovers. The café is open from Thursday to Monday, making it the perfect spot for a weekend brunch or mid-week pick-me-up. Migrant Coffee recently added a permanent vegan option to their menu - the F.L.A.T - which includes facon, lettuce, avocado, tomato with melted vegan cheese and ketchup. For those who like it spicy, they can add chilli oil to the mix.

In addition to their delicious food options, Migrant Coffee also offers stunning bouquets from Footscray's own native flower specialist Jane. These bouquets include locally grown Otway hydrangea, chrysanthemum disbuds, wattle foliage and more in pastel tones - perfect for Mother's Day or any special occasion.

Migrant Coffee also knows how to celebrate birthdays! They recently brought back the McMili bagel in honor of Jazz's birthday - the third and final installment in the McMili Trilogy. This bagel is named after Jazz's Mum, Miliama and is a must-try for anyone who loves a good bagel.

Overall, Migrant Coffee offers great food options and an inviting atmosphere that will make you want to come back again and again.
