Hi folks!
We’re looking forward to seeing all our volunteers and community participants THIS Sunday at the wonderful newly build Ecocentre!

🗓️Date: Sunday 9th of November 2025
🕰️Time: 2-5pm
📍Location: Port Phillip EcoCentre 55A Blessington Street St Kilda
🚲Bike repairs with St Kilda Bike Kitchen
⚠️Please arrive from 2pm onward instead of 1:30pm as our volunteers will not be set up and ready until then.

🛑House Rules Reminders:
▪️The works at the Repair Café are performed by community volunteers.
▪️Repair experts and other volunteers are NOT professional repairers and will conduct a repair to the best of their ability, within the time and resources available.
▪️When registering at arrival we will do our best to match you to the appropriate repairer.
▪️Some months we wont have a volunteer with the appropriate skill set or tools to carry out specific repairs. We do our best but cant always guarantee a repair as this is based on our volunteers availability.
▪️Repairers are entitled to refuse to repair certain objects.
▪️To cut down on unnecessary waiting times during busy periods, a maximum of ONE broken item per person will be examined.
▪️If additional items are brought in to be fixed, the visitor will join the back of the queue for each subsequent item.
▪️ Items may be repaired in a ‘DIY’ fashion. The aim of the Repair Café is to keep more items from landfill and help items be functional for longer, not restored to original condition.
▪️ If the item is requiring a perfect fix or perfect finish, we recommend seeking a professional repairer and paying for their service.

✏️ As always if you’re unsure about whether an item can be fixed. Feel free to email us at [email protected] with an explanation of the fault and some pictures and John will give you an idea whether it’s worth bringing the item in.

Looking forward to seeing you there! 🌻
