What are your memories of Young & Jackson? 🖤
This corner has seen it all. Built in the 1850s as the Princes Bridge Hotel, our home at the intersection of Flinders and Swanston has been a part of Melbourne's story for over 170 years. In 1875, Irish diggers Henry Young and Thomas Jackson took over the lease and gave this place the name that has been on Melbourne's lips ever since.
Trams, suits, footy crowds, late nights, first dates, farewell drinks and everything in between. This pub has held it all.

The new menu has landed and the smiles say it all 😄
We have been busy in the kitchen and the results are on the plate. Think Szechuan squid with mango aioli, slow braised lamb shoulder with native river mint gel, a Kangaroo and Guinness pie that belongs on every Melbourne table, and a Chloe's Parma that is truly in a class of its own. And for dessert, a Milo Tiramisu that you did not know you needed until now.
This is Young & Jackson cooking at its finest. Classic pub heart, with a menu that has something for everyone.

If you are using public transport, the closest train station is Flinders Street Station. From there, you can walk along Swanston Street towards north and you will find your destination on your left within a few minutes. Alternatively, several tram lines including 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64 and 72 stop at the corner of Swanston and Flinders Streets where the pub is located.
If you are driving and need to park your car near the pub, there are several paid parking options nearby. Some popular ones include Federation Square Car Park located on Russell Street directly opposite to the pub or Wilson Parking on Flinders Lane which is just around the corner from Young & Jackson.
