In Loving Memory of Eleni Anassis
1933–2026
It is with great sadness that Richmond Oysters acknowledges the passing of Eleni Anassis, the matriarch of the Anassis family and one of the founders of Richmond Oysters.
In 1959, alongside her husband Antonis, his brother Nikolaos and his wife Maria, Eleni helped establish Richmond Oysters in Church Street, Richmond.
Through decades of dedication, sacrifice and hard work, Eleni helped shape the business and the values upon which it continues to operate today. She remained involved in Richmond Oysters until the age of 80.
Her strength, determination and commitment to family will always remain an important part of the Richmond Oysters story.
We honour her life and remember everything she gave to her family and the business she helped build.
That business and her legacy continue to live on through her sons, Theo and Chris, and her grandchildren, who carry forward what she helped create.
May she rest peacefully, and may her memory be eternal.
