It’s always a pleasure to host the annual Pre-Grand Final Day Lunch here at The Rising Sun. ☀️
Each year, this wonderful luncheon raises funds for The Stars Foundation, supporting its important work mentoring and empowering Indigenous girls and young women. This year, an incredible $18,000 was raised. 💫
We’re always proud to host this special event, but this year’s lunch carried extra meaning following the recent passing of Brian Duxbury — a long-time friend and a much-loved customer of The Riser.
Brian was sorely missed last Friday, but very fondly remembered.
A wonderful afternoon for a wonderful cause, and a fitting tribute to a great friend. ❤️
