Same cake. Same cake designer. Same price.

Yet there could be a little thing called AI contributing to the final image.

While I hate what AI is doing to many industries, especially my industry, I can see the appeal.

The reason I’m posting this is because I recently got an Enquiry for a wedding cake. All but 2 inspo images were AI.
Now while I’m good at what I do, I’m not that good!
Of course I declined to quote on the AI images, because they were just that and my customer was totally fine with that.

Please don’t get it twisted, I DO NOT condone people just ripping out pics of AI cakes and techniques, claiming they made them when in fact it was a computer!

But is there a loop hole?
Clearly the cakes above are identical and I know because I made ALL of it, but what’s people’s thoughts on background cleanups?!
I feel bit a weird like I’m cheating but at the same time I love how bright and fresh the AI image is. And mostly because my old ass turntable is so battered 🤣

I’d genuinely love to hear people thoughts… 🤔

To get to Grimshaw Street in Melbourne, if using public transport, take the train or tram to Flinders Street Station and then change onto the South Morang line train. Get off at Macleod station and walk south along Grimshaw St until you reach your destination.

If driving, take the Eastern Freeway and exit at Bulleen Road towards Heidelberg. Continue on Manningham Road and turn right onto Grimshaw Street. There is street parking available nearby.
