What we are looking for:
We are seeking individuals who preferably have had experience in stir-fry WOK cooking with noodles and rice. To be a member of the Noodle Box team, you need to have strong values, high levels of energy and a commitment to delivering high quality food and excellent customer service to all of our guests. The successful applicant will have:
• A passion for fresh, modern Asian food
• A happy, friendly and energetic personality
• A desire to deliver high quality customer service
• Previous customer service experience and knowledge of food safety and handling procedures is also desired.
Qualifications & experience
• Has a minimum 1-2 years full time/part time cooking experience
• Has ideally (but not essential) worked in an Asian cuisine restaurant kitchen team operation as a chef
• Good knife skills
• Good reading follow order dockets, recipes and communication
Tasks & responsibilities
• Preparing and cooking meals to order
• Fresh produce preparation
• Kitchen opening setup and closing duties each shift with all kitchen team members
• Monitoring and maintaining consistency in food quality ordered and prepared
• Maintaining all kitchen, service and food storage areas are clean and maintained according to company and government health and safety standards
• Daily organisation of all refrigeration, freezers, dry stores, and deliveries are assessed
• Maintain company procedures in relation to health and hygiene guidelines in accordance with State food safety requirements and WHS requirements
