Proud to play a small part of this celebration. Not possible without the support of
Pellegrini’s was so much more than just a cafe’. It was a reference point for the migrant community. It was the embrace they needed in a foreign land. It was the common ground for the Australian & Italian community, a connector of sorts. It was a gift from Italy. The gift of warm hospitality, coffee & the importance of slowing down momentarily to recharge, reboot & reflect on the day. It set the standard for Australia’s modern cafe’….BTW, my father worked there in the ‘60’s. So for me it’s personal….
