Geisha | Natural from Olman Valladárez in Nicaragua

Finca Los Alpes sits high in Nicaragua's Dipilto Mountains near the Honduran border. The Geisha trees here are still young, producing their first harvest in 2023, but they've already made history. Under the management of Olman Valladárez, the farm earned first place in the Cup of Excellence in both 2023 and 2024 with a natural Geisha just like this one. Grown from Panamanian seed stock, this lot highlights the variety's tropical side in a seriously delicious way.

The final coffee in our Deluxe Mexico lineup.

This is the third Geisha we've featured from Finca Santa Cruz this year, and a fitting way to close out an incredible run of coffees from one of Mexico's most exciting producers.

For years, Pepe Argüello has been selectively breeding Geisha by hand, walking the farm to identify the sweetest cherries and collecting seeds only from the most exceptional trees. Combined with carefully chosen microclimates throughout the farm, the result is a Geisha with remarkable elegance and complexity.

This year, Finca Santa Cruz’s Geishas took first place in the Cup of Excellence in both the washed and natural categories, showcasing the quality and dedication that continues to push Mexican coffee forward!
