Reaching out to all our Coffee Fam today. Over the years we’ve seen many homeless people living in their cars at Lillydale Lake. It’s a sad reality of our times. Holy Fools in Lilydale do an amazing job supplying meals, showers, laundry etc but need funds to continue helping the homeless in our community.
Cr Tim Heenan is spending this week sleeping outside in a cardboard box to raise money for Felix House (Holy Fools). If you would like to make a donation to keep this wonderful work going please click the link below. Every bit helps and donations over $2 are tax deductible. Thankyou guys ❤️

The two newest shelters located near our coffee van have now been completed. They give great coverage and room for larger groups.

Hey Coffee Fam, some exciting news!
We were recently contacted by the Production Assistant from Channel 9’s lifestyle and travel show, POSTCARDS, who told us they would be filming a story in Lilydale and would love to feature CJ Mobile Cafe as part of a broader segment showcasing our wonderful town.
Needless to say, we were honoured and delighted to accept the invitation!
Today, the film crew visited Lillydale Lake, where they filmed some footage at the back of our coffee van with presenter Madeline Spark. They also captured some great shots of the remote-controlled boats in action on the lake.
The episode of Postcards is scheduled to air on 23 August, and while our appearance will likely only be around 20–30 seconds, we’re incredibly excited to be part of a program that highlights the people, places, and attractions that make Lilydale such a great community.
So a big thank you to the Postcards team for including us. We can’t wait to see the finished story!

We will be trading as usual over this long weekend. The weather is looking a lot better for a change! Come down and say hi, grab a coffee and brownie, and enjoy Lillydale Lake.

Concrete being poured for two more new shelters. This one is just behind us. The guys are doing an amazing job!

We started today early with a 50km hiking event leaving from the Lake. We were serving hot drinks from 5am for many of them before they departed at 6am.
Then a bit later we helped celebrate the 12th Birthday for the Lillydale Lake Parkrun. The theme was 80’s fluro colours! A big crowd walked and ran the two laps and many came for coffee afterwards. It got so busy I had to ask Elmo to grab a group handle from the coffee machine and give me a hand. What a legend!!
With the weather turning for the coming week there are many people out enjoying the last of the amazing weather.

The two new shelters here are finally finished! They look very impressive and allow room for bigger groups to gather together which was desperately needed. Well done to all involved.

Alternatively, if you're driving, you can take Maroondah Highway and turn onto Main Street in Lilydale. From here, turn left onto Anderson Street and continue until you reach the destination. Limited street parking is available nearby or try parking at the nearby car park on Hardy St.
