What people say
The Mustard Tree Op Shop & Cafe in Lilydale is a hidden gem that offers a unique shopping and dining experience. This op shop operates like any other, but with a twist. The team at The Mustard Tree takes pride in creatively upcycling items that would otherwise end up in landfill. They turn vintage lamps into planters or rework them into light fixtures, creating quirky and fun sculptural pieces that are now worth something.
Apart from the op shop, The Mustard Tree also has a cafe that serves delicious food and drinks. Their menu features a range of tasty options that cater to different dietary requirements. Whether you're after a hearty breakfast or a light lunch, their friendly staff will ensure you leave feeling satisfied.
What's more impressive is that The Mustard Tree also runs a Food Bank to help those in need. They offer interviews by appointment and operate on weekdays from 10am-2pm.
Overall, The Mustard Tree Op Shop & Cafe is an excellent place to visit if you're looking for something different. With its quirky and fun approach to upcycling, delicious food, and commitment to helping the community through its Food Bank, it's no wonder why it has become one of the most interesting op shops in Melbourne.
