Dough station diaries 001 - Casual lines by

When we first announced that prices were increasing, it was a massive event. At the time we genuinely believed things would stabilise and that would be the end of it. Before that, it was years between adjustments. But as everyone now knows, that's no longer the case, and this ongoing madness is the new normal.
We've spoken with hundreds of customers and every single one has made one thing absolutely clear: do not touch the quality of the ingredients. And of course we agree, we would rather close the doors than start selling rubbish pizza.
So here we are again. During the last increase we left more than half of our pizza menu untouched, so that one didn't hit everyone the same. This time it sweeps across the board, because the costs are coming in from every angle and there's no ducking and weaving to soften it. It's taken weeks to get the numbers right, but we knew this was coming and we were ready. The changes take effect this week.
The menu board looks like a mess with bits of paper everywhere, and we're sorry about that. We can't justify a new one until costs and prices settle down.
Small businesses are closing across Victoria at a rate we've never seen. We're doing everything we can not to be one of them. Thank you for sticking with us.

For over seventeen years, Gavin Smith and Soupees have been showing up in Upwey every week, making sure people doing it tough have a hot meal, a warm space, and someone who cares whether they're okay. He wont tell you this but he even showed up whilst battling cancer and never complained once.
Winter is the hardest time, and right now Gav needs help to keep the Soupees truck on the road through the cold months. He's started a GoFundMe to keep it running. If you're able to give anything at all, it goes straight to keeping this service alive for the people who rely on it.
Soupees also needs warm clothing and blankets. If you have any to spare, you can drop them at the Soupees tent in Upwey on Fridays. They'll go directly to someone who needs them this winter.
Please give what you can, and please share this so it reaches as many people as possible.
Thank you for what you do for our community Gav. Soup Word Smith

Fresh batch of tiramisu just made!
10/05/2026
For more years than we can remember you have been asking us to make Tiramisu and for exactly that many years we have been saying yes we should but havent. Until now! Chef Oscar has been tinkering away in the kitchen creating the most incredibly creamy, perfectly balanced (alcohol free) Tiramisu that is now on the menu. We have nine huge portions left tonight so get in as early and give Mum a special treat and of course to all the mums out there we wish you a very Happy Mothers Day. We know you're the real heroes of the hills.

Regan has been part of our team for three years now, running the bench as our head pizza maker. What most of you probably don't know is he's been studying to become a Personal Trainer the entire time. He's qualified, he's ready, and he's taking clients at Club Lime Upwey. Three years of balancing work and study is no joke. If you're after a PT with that kind of dedication, look him up.
We're really proud of this one
